Content Guidelines

BahamaZine is a community-powered platform for the Bahamas. We welcome businesses, events, transportation information, community news, and helpful resources. These guidelines help keep the site useful and safe for everyone.
What we allow
- Local business listings
- Community events (including cultural and religious events)
- Helpful transportation information
- Community announcements and local resources
- Clear, respectful language and accurate details
- Original content, or content you have permission to use
What we do not allow
- Spam or repetitive promotions
- Scams, misleading claims, or fake businesses
- Illegal services or illegal activity
- Hate speech, harassment, or threats
- Explicit adult content or shocking imagery
- Copyright theft (images/text you do not have the right to publish)
- Posting private personal information about others
Image rules
If you upload images (flyers, logos, photos), you must have permission to use them. Good examples include your own flyer/logo, a photo you took, or a public flyer from the organizer.
Accuracy matters
Please provide accurate island/location, dates and times, contact details, and pricing (if included).
Moderation
We may approve, reject, edit, or remove submissions. We may fix obvious typos and formatting issues or request clarification before publishing.
Reporting content
If you see something incorrect, misleading, or inappropriate, please contact us and include the page link if possible.
